Feliz navidad is a spanish phrase meaning, Merry Christmas.
When I was young, all I thought is that, Christmas is just all about winter or the cold breeze when December comes, the gifts and cards from our friends and loved ones, the cash from our godparents, the socks we are hanging so that Santa Claus will put the stuff we wished unless we are not naughty but nice, the Noche Buena with a lot of foods that we are gonna digest with our families when the clock ticks at 12 midnight, and the decorations we put like Christmas trees, lights, balls, and wreath. And as I grow and understand stuffs, I realized that those things I mentioned up above are useless when Christmas is all about the one who saved us from the sins of the world and sacrificed for all of us so that we will not fall to the hands of Satan. I am talking about Jesus Christ, the baby boy who was born in Bethlehem. Nowadays, we celebrate His birthday without even realizing what we are celebrating for and without and the presence of the celebrant. It’s like attending school without the teacher or a mass without the priest. We should always and be forever thankful for that baby boy who was on December 25 for He is the reason why we have the joy of light, peace, and love. Feliz Navidad!
